If there are known or perceived problems, we may need to first conduct an internal assessment to diagnose the issue(s). One or more of these identified issues could be included in the Board Tune-up Workshop.

The Tune-up Workshop

An extremely practical session to provide more structure to board performance and decision-making. In a two-day workshop, your board will work on the following topics:

• Board roles, boundaries, and modes of governance. Clarification of core responsibilities of the board and the line between governance and management.

• Meeting Protocols. For the entire board and committees: how agendas are built, who chairs, who takes notes, where decisions live, and how they are tracked to completion.
